1. The service

Visits.report counts pageviews on websites you control and publishes summary figures, optionally on a public page. Operated by Muddy Holdings LLC.

2. Your responsibilities

Install the tag only on sites you are entitled to instrument, and do not use it to collect data about people in ways their local law forbids. You are the data controller for your own visitors; we are your processor.

3. Accuracy

Figures are best-effort measurements, not audited accounts. Ad blockers, network failures and privacy tooling will cause undercounting, and bot filtering is imperfect in both directions. Do not represent these numbers as audited, and do not rely on them alone for a transaction you cannot afford to get wrong.

4. What the hash chain means

The chain evidences that published figures for a completed day have not been altered since sealing. It is not an audit, not a warranty of accuracy, and not a statement about the period before sealing. We describe its limits on the verification page and you should not describe it more strongly than we do.

5. Public pages

Publishing is your choice and reversible at any time. A public page shows aggregate figures only — never individual visitors, IP addresses or anything identifying a person. We may remove a public page that misrepresents ownership of a domain or is used to defraud.

6. Availability and data retention

Provided as-is, with no uptime guarantee. Hits lost while the collector is unavailable are lost permanently — there is no backfill. Deleting a site deletes its hits and its sealed chain irreversibly.

7. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you have paid us in the twelve months before it arose.
